Through the camera lens of John Peterson Myers (Pete) we have an insightful, exquisite view of nature. Each image brings us an overwhelming appreciation of the complexity and beauty of the biosphere.
Birds; insects; flowers; dewdrops; a chipmunk's tiny tongue: all shimmer with life. Through Pete's eye, we are intimately connected with secret details of the natural world.
Aldo Leopold once said:
"The first law of intelligent tinkering is to save all the parts."
It seems likely that Leopold would see Pete's work as a celebration of "all the parts."
Pete's bio is as stunning as his photos. His writings and photographs of the natural world have been published in such highly respected journals as Smithsonian Magazine, Audubon Magazine and Natural History.
Some of Pete's photos can be seen at Photo Selection. More will be available for viewing soon, as the website expands.
Pete's photos are available for purchase at the Liza Myers Gallery in Brandon, Vermont.
